BFCC Library Purpose Statement
The purpose of the BFCC Library is to provide books, media, and materials
that reflect truth and beauty for the cultivation of Jesus' Life in
believers, and to draw others into relationship with Christ.
Jesus said we should love the Lord our God with all our "heart, soul, mind, and strength." To love God with our minds means we must exercise our intellect in matters of faith, humbly seeking to understand and connect God's revelation of himself to every aspect of life. We don't believe faith requires turning off our minds or ignoring deep-seated questions. We challenge all followers of Jesus to use their intellect (as well as their hearts) in loving God and people. We recognize that books, videos, and other resources can help us do that well.
BFCC has a very active, up-to-date library full of the latest and best literary and media offerings that touch on all aspects of Christian living and theology. We consider these valuable resources for all those who are seeking to cultivate Jesus' life in discipleship by developing the spiritual discipline of critical, reflective, and meditative reading and viewing.
The BFCC library is overseen and funded by the Ministry of Adult Discipleship. There is no charge to check out books and videos, and you may do so anytime the church is open. The library also has a mobile resource cart that is displayed in the Fellowship Hall gathering area outside the sanctuary for your convenience and information.
