Communicating Jesus' Message
This ministry is responsible for planning and administering programs of outreach to meet physical and spiritual needs, particularly beyond the local Beloit area. The current chairperson for this ministry team is Carl Fugate (738-2353). Please contact him if you are interested in serving in any of these ways...
- Regularly educate the congregation on the need to make missions and outreach a vital part of their giving and prayer support.
- Report on missions the church members are supporting.
- Promote short-term mission projects.
- Evaluate missionaries and outreach programs and make support recommendations to the congregation.
- Estimate the level of non-budgeted financial support expected for missionaries each year.
- Determine the allocation of the missions budget and special missions funds. Coordinate visits of missionaries who are available.
- Communicate prayer needs of our missionaries to the congregation.
- Oversee the use of the Mission House; coordinate with Ministry of Facility Maintenance for upkeep and repair; communicate with Women’s Ministries when missionaries will be in residence regarding food and cleaning needs.
- Coordinate fundraising efforts.
- Working in conjunction with the financial record keeper, submit a monthly, written financial report for the Elder Board meeting.
