Communicating Jesus' Message

This ministry is responsible to promote fellowship around food service within the church. The current chairperson for this ministry team is Janet Johnson (738-2573). Please contact her if you are interested in serving in any of these ways...

  1. Meals on Wheels – Select a coordinator who will recruit volunteers to deliver meals from the hospital as requested.
  2. Monthly Doughnut Sunday – Select a coordinator who will be responsible for ordering and picking up doughnuts and orange juice, making coffee, and serving and cleaning up the Fellowship Hall and kitchen area. The fellowship times are 9:15 – 9:30 a.m. and 10:10 – 10:25 a.m.
  3. Early Sunday Morning Coffee/Tea -- Select a coordinator who will be responsible for recruiting volunteers who will prepare coffee, hot water for tea and ice water to be available in the fellowship hall by 7:30 a.m. every Sunday and clean up after the 10:30 worship service begins.
  4. Home meals – Select a coordinator who will recruit volunteers to provide a meal to those who are ill, recently hospitalized, new parents, etc. This person needs to work closely with the Pastors and Office Secretary who will often be aware of such needs.
  5. Church Fellowship Dinners – Select a coordinator who will be responsible for planning and recruiting volunteers to assist with these events.
  6. Other Fellowship Opportunities – Provide refreshments or other hospitality as needed or requested by ministry chairpersons or pastors, such as the Christmas program, Elder retreats, etc.
  7. Military Care Packages – Determine the criteria and list of recipients from among military personnel. Coordinate requests for donations of baked goods and other care items that are then packaged and sent out quarterly.
  8. Keep paper cups, napkins, coffee and tea stocked in both kitchens.
