Worship as a Lifestyle

Here at BFCC we believe worship is meant to be an ongoing response to the reality of God's presence. Therefore, "worship" can never be completely defined by one particular time or place. So why have regularly scheduled, corporate worship services? Because we also believe planned worship gatherings are essential training for followers of Jesus who want to learn how to better discern Jesus' presence in all of life's circumstances. The goal is worship as a lifestyle.

Sunday Worship Services at 8:00 a.m and 10:30 a.m.

We offer worship services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. every Sunday morning. Here we intentionally celebrate Jesus' living presence with us as a community of believers. Both services are identical in style of music (a blended style using contemporary and traditional songs), and in the message that is presented. BFCC Ministry of Worship

This ministry team is responsible to plan and administer corporate worship through which the congregation can connect their hearts to God’s. The current chairperson for this ministry team is Doug Johnson (738-2573). Please contact him if you are interested in serving with this team to accomplish these vital goals...

1. Worship Services – this area will be coordinated with the Senior Pastor to assist in weekly planning and special worship services.
   • Team participants include Pastors, Praise Teams, Musicians, Elders, and Deacons.
• Environment – have sanctuary neat and clean. Be sure bulletins, hymnals, pew Bibles, communion elements, offering plates, friendship pads, prayer cards, flowers, and other items are available as needed.
• Coordinate resources when needed for funerals, weddings, and other events held in the sanctuary.
2. Church Music
   • Praise Team Singers - We have four different praise teams, which keeps the burden of preparation to about once a month. We look for those who love and serve Jesus, and whose giftedness with singing is seen as a ministry, not a platform for performance or pride.
   • Instrumentalists - Keyboards, guitars, drums, string and wind instruments all play a part in our worship services. Musicians should be those who love and serve Jesus, and whose giftedness with playing music is seen as a ministry, not a platform for performance or pride.
• Choirs
• Music Library - persons who will manage and organize the weekly sheet music for vocalists and instrumentalists
3. Sanctuary Technicians – Audio and computer/video operators are crucial behind-the-scenes servants who coordinate all the various technology that supports and enhances our worship. For audio technicians, some experience with an audio mixing board and recording equipment is helpful, though we also offer training. For computer/video technicians, familiarity with a PC's, PowerPoint, and MediaShout software is helpful, though we also offer training. We look for those who love and serve Jesus with their technical interests and abilities.
4. Ushers - Helping direct folks looking for childcare services, and assisting them in finding a place to sit is a basic need filled by personable, and caring volunteers who love and serve Jesus.
5. Greeters - Stationed at the doorways to our sanctuary, these followers of Jesus love and serve Him by handing out our printed bulletins and providing a warm, genuine greeting to all those who enter.
6. Decorations – We want to create a beautiful and appealing atmosphere in our sanctuary, and so we look for people gifted in coordinating regular and special decorations such as flowers, plants, Easter lilies, and Christmas poinsettias.
7. Drama – For those who love the dramatic arts, we look for ways to use their gifts and talents in meaningful drama offerings.
