Worship at BFCC

worshipCorporate worship services take place every Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. with childcare available at both times. We also have special times of worship in connection with Christmas, Easter, and other celebrations. Both worship times offer the same music and message. BFCC's worship is best described as a blended service, utilizing both contemporary and traditional music. We do this intentionally because we see great value in maintaining diversity in age and interest when we gather, rather than tailoring to only one segment. This reaffirms our identity as individuals with differences unified in the one body of Christ.

In our worship services we aim to motivate and cheer the congregation on in the process of fully expressing their love by celebrating God's awe-inspiring presence. We believe music, singing, prayers, acts of remembrance, and personal response--all centered on Scripture--enable us to see God's amazing character more clearly. When we come to know God, love spontaneously and powerfully springs up in our hearts and we worship in spirit (with full emotion and desire) and in truth (with minds fully engaged).

Sunday worship merely trains us for daily, private worship. Time just with each other is vital for a healthy marriage, so too, time alone with God is essential for a healthy relationship with Him.  He wants our undivided mind and heart, eyes and ears for awhile each day.

Worship is a way of life.  And it’s the way of life for followers of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  Whatever we do and wherever we do it, we are to do it for the glory of God.  Because of the mercy God has shown to us, He calls us to be His living sacrifices – holy and pleasing.  That is our way of worshipping God.

In worship services God is our audience of One. Those "up front" are merely prompters for all those who gather to offer God the passionate and pleasing sacrifices of praise that flow from a love relationship.

There are opportunities to serve using your talents and gifts as worship leaders and prompters. If you sense God leading you to serve in any of these ways please contact any of the pastoral staff or contact Doug Johnson, the chairperson of our Ministry of Worship:
