DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
Beloit First Christian Church is seeking the person of God’s choosing as our salaried, part-time (20-25 hours per week) Director of Children’s Ministry. We are looking for someone who loves God and loves kids to lead and help others to lead our vibrant ministries for infants through Grade 6, with the goal of making and growing disciples for Jesus Christ. Previous experience in children’s ministry (paid or volunteer) is necessary.
Job Description for the Director of Children's Ministries
The Director of Children’s Ministries is a salaried, part-time (20-25 hours per week) ministry position at Beloit First Christian Church (BFCC) for a maturing, loving disciple of Jesus Christ who has a heart to make and grow disciples of children for Jesus. The Director of Children’s Ministries will lead, recruit, train, equip, schedule, and deploy adult and student leaders to do the work of BFCC Children’s Ministries, under the supervision and direction of the Associate Pastor of Youth & Family Ministries, and the Senior Pastor. Duties shall be:
- Lead, recruit, train, equip, schedule, and deploy adult leaders and helpers to do the work of ministry for Sunday Morning Nursery Childcare (infants to age 4), Kid’s Church (Kindergarten - Grade 4), Sunday School Life Groups (Toddlers - Grade 6), CLASH (Grades 1-6), VBS (Grades 1-6), and other ministries for children that introduce and lead them to Jesus from birth through Grade 6. This may also include personally leading and teaching these groups when volunteer leaders are still being developed. Work time priority is generally given to Sundays and Wednesdays, as these are days on which these ministries function.
- Oversee and manage the Children’s Ministry budget by approving and making needed purchases of curriculum and supplies for ministry.
- Communicate and promote children’s ministry programs, activities, and opportunities to parents and the community through a variety of effective media.
- Attend weekly Monday morning staff meetings, write a monthly Elder board report and attend monthly Elder board meetings, write a yearly annual report.
