Beloit First Christian Church follows the New Testament pattern of having Elders appointed to lead and shepherd the local church (Acts 14:23; Titus 1:5). Our Elders are nominated and then voted on by the congregation each year. Elders are servant-leaders (Mark 10:35-45) who oversee the flock by listening and responding to concerns and needs (Acts 6:1-4), praying with and for people (James 5:13-16), following the lead of the Holy Spirit in making decisions towards the mission of the church (Acts 13:2-3), and being an example of a maturing believer in the church and the community at large (Titus 1:5-9).
