I have been blessed to be senior pastor at BFCC since 2006. Prior to BFCC, I served churches in Kansas, Illinois, and Wisconsin. My educational training took place at Sterling College (Sterling, KS), Wheaton Graduate School (Wheaton, IL), and Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN). My wife, Laura, is a Spiritual Director who graduated from the Companioning Center (Newburg, OR). We have three married daughters, and seven grandchildren. The Lord has blessed us abundantly!

I enjoy basketball (although my back and knees have recently demanded retirement), reading books (even the kind without pictures!), cooking (with directions), and watching interesting movies of all genres. I love the brevity and power of 1 John 4:19 – “We love because He first loved us.” Whatever good you see in my life is only because of God’s love that comes to me first, even at my worst. I’m happy to serve along with other forgiven sinners as salt and light in this world.
